Mellerstain House

Mellerstain House is a magnificent house to work with, and is often featured in leading wedding magazines and photoshoots, as it provides such a beautiful backdrop! This was a spring wedding, and the couple made the best of the parklands and lake, imposing façade and opulent interiors with some gorgeous photos.

For this wedding, Get Knotted did the planning, flowers and styling. We are always pleased to work with different budgets, and sometimes a couple of opulent pedestals can work brilliantly for you, especially in an already dramatic venue like Mellerstain House. Two gorgeous big arrangements with lilies and hydrangeas had just the right proportions for this glamorous setting, and we also used twiglights to bring out various corners very cost-effectively.

For our spring bride, we created a shower bouquet full of clematis, roses, hydrangea and brunia in pretty pinks, purples and whites. The colour scheme went beautifully with the deep rose walls and contrasting white plasterwork in the music room, where the marriage ceremony was held. An elegant silver candelabra from our cost-effective range of props to hire and some little pots of flowers made a pretty background feature among the wonderful paintings and mirrors.
