Aikwood Tower

This couple have a great sense of fun and drama, and wanted to have a wonderful party at Aikwood Tower. Get Knotted did the planning and venue styling, and created a gorgeous romantic space in this historic building.

We particularly love working with lighting, and used our rustic fairy light ceiling panels to create a twinkling ceiling for the dance area at this vibrant marquee wedding. The bifold doors in the Aikwood Cart Shed were pulled back to reveal a sparkling dance area. The sandblasted manzanita branches stood out beautifully against the contrasting dark background, and were hung with tiny candle jars and amazing purple vanda orchid flowers

The ceremony was held outdoors, and to dress the lovely space in front of the castle backdrop, we used our ceremony poles, studded with colourful flower heads. To highlight the steps, we added ivy and flower heads, as well as terracotta pots.

Get Knotted also created the bride’s bouquet, which was a mass of purple vanda orchids. The men’s thistle button holes were given a quirky touch with some bright green chilies. Other pretty touches included apples used as table name holders, and table decorations including cream roses, vanda orchids, wild twigs and berries.

A fantastic time was had by all at Aikwood Tower!
