Aikwood Tower

Aikwood Tower is great for an arty country house wedding, and this couple made the best of it! We love working with original, creative couples who bring their own personality and skills to their wedding. It makes for a lovely personal and joyful atmosphere.

The bride has a great sense of colour and was very hands-on, creating a lot of her own props and ideas, which included pretty hanging hearts and the most gorgeous homemade cakes. Beautiful rag bunting in bright colours gave a festive, playful touch to the dining room. The couple even set up a special whisky room with its own embroidered door sign!

Meanwhile, Get Knotted made a lovely rustic floral arch to welcome the guests with a joyful splash of large yellow chrysanthemums and roses. It was too nice to be left at the gate, so was moved to dining room during the drinks reception. Twinkly lights brought a romantic touch to the historic wooden ceiling.

This wedding was a lovely mix of vintage and contemporary, and a great collaboration between the creative bride and Get Knotted!
