Paxton House

This vintage themed wedding took place on a glorious summer day in the gardens at Paxton House, a lovely stately home in the Scottish Borders. Paxton is a beautiful venue for larger weddings, as it can seat up to 150 people for a ceremony and dinner. It also has its own marquee, which can seat up to 200, giving you tremendous options if you have a lot of friends and family.

For this wedding, the couple chose to get married outside in the beautiful Paxton grounds, which are on the Borders iconic salmon river, the River Tweed. Paxton House now has its own boat, which can be used to take a trip down the river to Berwick – an unmissable treat for the day after the wedding!

Paxton House has lots of lovely photographic opportunities down by the river – have a look at the boathouse and dining room in these pictures. The magnificent Portrait Gallery used as the dining room is curated by the National Galleries of Scotland and has some wonderful art treasures.
