Private House

For this marquee wedding, we did the planning from afar, as the couple live in Australia. The bride comes from a local farming family in the Borders, and was lovely to work with – the distance was no problem at all!

The wedding was held at a private house, and Get Knotted were also asked to help with the flowers and the styling of the marquee. The groom is French, they asked for lavender to be included in the wedding bouquet and his thistle buttonhole, for a touch of extra French flair! The couple had a humanist celebrant, and the marriage ceremony was held at the house, which made things relaxed.

The beautiful marquee was supplied by the fantastic Olympus Marquees, and we helped them to style it in keeping with the contemporary vintage theme. The marquee had a chillout zone with furniture, pots of lavender, various vintage bottles collected by the family, and gorgeous pink hanging lanterns to match the fuschia of the bridesmaid dresses.
