Private House

Emma and Robbie’s fabulous country style wedding reception took place in an open-sided marquee pitched in front of the family house.  The informal, relaxed ambiance suited the occasion perfectly with BBQ catering outside and long dining trestles for guests.

We used a selection of galvanized pots, glass bottles, vintage jugs, cake stands and vases and filled them with high summer country-style flowers and pots of rosemary and lavender. In between the posies, we added mossed candlesticks, all at different heights.  To bring colour in at a higher level, we added three large hanging circles with lots of greenery.  Spray roses, nigella, freesia and honeysuckle were used to create the gorgeous country garden look with little lights which twinkled as the light faded in the marquee.

Our white folding chairs added the finishing touch to the tables, they work well in marquees and have the advantage of being ideal for use outside – even for Scottish weddings in unpredictable weather!
